| Nice turn out for the February meeting in
the wake of 1 to 2 feet of snow (depending on where you live) earlier in
the week. Besides a workshop by Jerry Rinaldi on painting
figures, the club picked through a couple of boxes of old Monogram models
- courtesy of Ridgefield Hobbies - to pick the kit they wanted to build
for "Monogram Raised Panel Line Night". A lot of childhood
memories were in those boxes, and I think the members had more fun
swapping stories about kits they had built in their youth than anything
else. Also on the agenda was, of course, MosquitoCon, now less than 7 weeks away! Since this will be our 19th year, the plaques will prominently display a number "19" on them. Again, the theme will be "1940 - England Stands Alone". In March, the monthly contest theme will be "Empire Night", so get those British, Canadian, Australian or Irish themed models ready! |
