January 2010
There was a nice turnout of models and modelers as everyone recovered from the holidays.  The first meeting of the new year featured a "Russian Night" contest, sponsored by Simon V.   Congratulations to Marc Rocca and Mike O'Connor, who's models were the winners in their respective categories.  Lots of themed contests coming up this year.  In fact, February is the only month in "twenty-ten" without a theme!

The club sponsored theme will be "Monogram Raised Panel Night".  The premise is that the club, thanks to Ridgefield Hobbies, is going to get old Monogram kits with panel lines for a group build.  The goal is to get a bunch of us to build some oldies and to have a good time doing so.   The only caveat is that model must be finished by the August 2010 meeting.  See Big Bill if you are interested in participating - should be lots of fun.

MosquitoCon will be here in about two months, and there is still lots to do.   As this will be out 19th show we are putting on, this years show will be known as MosquitoCon 19.  Which means next year will be out 20th show.   You can be sure we'll commemorate it properly.

Condolences to member and former President Tom Vandermark, who lost his Mom recently.  On behalf of the club, our deepest sympathies go out to Tom and his family.
