| Another year is
almost behind us, with just the December meeting left on the calendar.
Along with discussions of MosquitoCon (only 4 months away!) and
JerseyCon, the club handed out the Pegasus Models snap-together kits for
the club group build. The object - build the kit out of the
box (you can use new markings) with just the minimum of work (no
aftermarket, super-detailing, etc), and have it completed by the March
2009 meeting, at which point everyone should bring their models for the
monthly contest. The catch? If you don't have the
model done by the March meeting, you have to pay for it. Thanks to
Pegasus Models, who provided the kits through Big Bill Schwarz, club
Fuhrer.
Marc Rocca also gave a workshop that was, by all
accounts, well received. Since your web editor had to attend
a show planning meeting, I was unable to check out the workshop, which I
believe was on weathering techniques.
Bring your appetites in December, as President
Big Bill has conjured up quite the feast for everyone. Apparently,
the staff serving you will be pretty cool too. Hope everyone
